BIO

Mirjana Ursulesku is a Creative Director and an interdisciplinary artist whose works includes printmaking, painting, drawing, photography, sound design, psychogeography, cartography, mapping, the use of historical/archival documents, and installation (often site-specific). Ursulesku’s work examines the immigrant experience, revealing the neglected achievements and inequities of past immigrants while exploring her own struggles as an immigrant from Bosnia to find her place in the purported American Dream. Ursulesku is the recipient of the 2018 Caxton Club Award and 2018 Weisman Award. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design, a BA in Advertising and an MFA in Intradisciplinary Book and Paper Arts from Columbia College Chicago.
